After Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel announced plans to curb youth smoking and the consumption of menthol cigarettes, Camel began distributing "Get One Pack of Camel for $1.00" coupons. After individual’s redeemed their coupon, many started receiving  emails from Camel. The email received from Camel in October 2013 is inviting the receiver to visit camel.com in order to claim money-saving coupons. Text: "Camel.com Saves You Cash!"
