The welcome letter states: "Recently, you visited www.smokersignup.com and signed up to receive offers from Basic. So, we'd love to take this opportunity to say welcome! We're delighted to have you with us. By now, you probably know that Basic has a smooth, rich taste you just won't find in any other brand. But what you may not know is when you choose Basic, you can get a lot more than just premium taste at a not-so-premium price. You're now eligible to receive special offers from Basic. Like valuable coupons. Our 'Best Things' Catalog, where you can use Basic Pack UPCs to pick up great items (and more coupons). Plus a lot of other great stuff, some of which you can read about in the enclosed 'Welcome to Basic' brochure. So please take a minute to look it over. And once again, welcome to Basic. The brochure features images of Basic cigarettes with an old fashioned ashtray and in an old fashioned car. The cover of the brochure asks, "What is Basic?" and answers with the following text: "Well, as you probably know by now, it's a brand of cigarettes. With a smooth, rich taste unlike any other. Finally, the brochure highlights some of the gifts and promotions that were featured in the past year (such as a 30 minute phone card).
